| Phase 1: Product Conceptualization |

| Phase 2: Detail Design |
Defond engineers have a comprehensive knowledge of manufacturing processes, and are proficient in various CAD tools such as: Cadkey, Solid Works, ProEngineer, Catia, Eagle, ....etc. Where needed, in-house programs are developed to supplement the design process. |

| Phase 3: Prototyping |
Rapid prototyping machines enable design evaluation by the express building of samples. |

| Phase 4: Design Evaluation |
Samples of a new product or component are evaluated for dimensional accuracy as well as functions. Precision measuring machines such as the CMM and videoscopes are just some of the technological devices that have been implemented for this purpose. |

| Phase 5: Lab Test for Safety Approval |
All Defond test labs are equipped to conduct tests in compliance to UL, CSA, VDE, IEC, and other standards. The experts handling the test equipments have solid backgrounds in physics, chemistry, engineering and manufacturing.

| Phase 6: Tooling and Fixtures for Production |
The tooling workshop is equipped with CAD/CAM high precision machine centers, state-of-the-art automatic jig and fixture fitting system, CNC grinders and EDM machines. These equipments produce initial tooling and make sure that any subsequent changes are quick and cost effective. |
